Business Development Manager

Lead business growth by working closely with global vendors & sellers, driving new opportunities for our eCommerce & digital services.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic & results driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with global vendors & sellers to bring new business opportunities to the organisation. You will be responsible for lead generation, building strong relationships & driving business growth for our eCommerce & digital services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to our mission of helping brands succeed on Amazon, Walmart, eBay & other marketplaces worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Identify & develop new business opportunities with global vendors & sellers.
  • Build & nurture strong relationships with potential & existing clients to drive business growth.
  • Develop & implement strategic sales plans to achieve organisational revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the marketing & account management teams to ensure seamless client onboarding & support.
  • Guide, mentor & inspire the sales team to achieve & surpass performance targets.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities & potential partnerships.
  • Prepare & deliver compelling presentations & proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts & close agreements to maximise profits while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Represent RootAMZ at industry events, trade shows & networking opportunities to enhance brand presence & develop partnerships.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales performance & pipeline updates to senior management.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a comparable discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, sales or account management, required in Software sales, eCommerce or digital services.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new business & overseeing major client accounts.
  • Strong leadership & team management & team building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation & presentation skills.
  • Ability to build & maintain long-term relationships with global vendors & sellers.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
